Repeat a configurable text mark across the document

Enter text such as β€œDRAFT”, β€œCONFIDENTIAL” or a recipient name, then set its position, angle, size, color and opacity. A preview of the first page updates as you work. Export applies the same watermark settings to every page. A watermark communicates context or ownership, but it does not encrypt the PDF, control access or prevent deliberate removal.

Label drafts, samples and distributed copies

  • Identify a working draft before circulating it
  • Label a PDF confidential while using separate access controls
  • Mark a sample or recipient copy to discourage casual reuse
  • Add a name or organization to material before distribution

Frequently asked questions

Does the watermark apply to every page?
Yes. Export applies the same text and visual settings to every PDF page. Check documents with mixed page sizes or orientations because placement can look different.
Can I remove the watermark afterward?
The mark is written into the exported page content. Specialized software may still be able to modify it, so keep the source PDF if you need a reliable clean copy later.
Can I add a logo image instead of text?
No. This version creates text watermarks; it does not accept a logo or other image.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. JavaScript previews and writes the watermark locally. The modified PDF may no longer validate an existing digital signature.
