Place one watermark or cover the full image

Add custom text in one position or repeat it diagonally across the photograph. A watermark can identify the creator, label a preview or communicate that an image is a draft. It may discourage casual reuse, but it does not prevent copying and should not be treated as access control or secure redaction.

What a text watermark can communicate

  • Attach a photographer or studio name to a public preview
  • Label an image as a draft, sample or confidential
  • Make uncredited casual reuse less convenient without hiding the image
  • Apply a consistent text treatment across a group of images

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between single and tiled watermarks?
Single placement adds the text once in a selected corner or at the center. Tiled placement repeats it diagonally across the image, making a simple crop less likely to remove every instance. Neither option prevents someone from editing the file.
Can I make the watermark subtle?
Yes. Lower the opacity for a quieter mark or raise it when readability matters more. Check the result over both light and dark areas of the photograph.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. JavaScript adds the text and creates the exported image in your browser.
Can I add a logo image instead of text?
No. This tool currently creates text watermarks. Use an image editor if you need to overlay a logo file.
