Your files
All image and PDF processing on Orisod happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. The files you select, convert, compress, crop, or resize are never sent to our servers and are never seen, stored, or accessed by us in any way. When you close the tab, the file is gone from memory: there is nothing to delete on our end because it was never there.
Privacy-friendly analytics
Orisod uses GoatCounter to understand general website usage, such as page views, referring websites, approximate country, browser type, and operating system. GoatCounter does not use analytics cookies or store persistent identifiers in your browser.
It temporarily processes limited technical information that your browser sends, including your IP address, browser information, language, and screen width, to count visits and produce aggregated statistics. Orisod configures GoatCounter not to keep your language or screen size. Each page you open is reported to GoatCounter's servers (orisod.goatcounter.com): the small counting script, count.js, is served from orisod.com itself, but the visit is still sent to GoatCounter. Analytics data is processed by GoatCounter on servers in Germany and Finland, and Orisod configures GoatCounter to keep statistics for no longer than 365 days.
Files, images, documents, information entered into Orisod's tools, and generated output are not included in analytics and are not sent to GoatCounter. If a link you follow to Orisod carries a campaign tag (such as utm_source), only that tag is sent, never other URL parameters or anything you type into the tools. Advertising
orisod.com does not show ads and does not use any advertising service. The site is funded by voluntary donations from people who choose to support it.
Cookies
Orisod does not set cookies: neither the tools nor the analytics use them. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name orisod-theme, so the site looks the way you left it. It stays on your device, and you can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Third-party services
orisod.com is hosted on GitHub Pages. As the host, GitHub receives your IP address and standard request information, such as the page requested and your browser information, whenever you load a page, and handles it under GitHub's privacy statement.
Orisod's tools use open-source JavaScript libraries (such as PDF.js, jsPDF, and heic2any) that run entirely within your browser to perform conversions. These libraries are served from orisod.com itself, so opening a tool does not download code from any other server. They do not transmit your files anywhere. OCR PDF also loads its text-recognition engine and language data from orisod.com the first time you use it.
Donations made through the Support page are processed by Stripe on its own secure payment page. The payment details you enter there are handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy, and Orisod never receives your full card number.
Children's privacy
Orisod is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
