Repeat useful text across every PDF page
Write a header, a footer or both, choose left, center or right alignment and apply the text throughout the PDF. Insert controls add the current page number, total page count or todayβs date without requiring special syntax. The export draws new content onto each page. Existing text is not intentionally rasterized, but the PDF is modified and digital signatures may become invalid.
For titles, dates, notices and page counts
- Repeat a document title or organization name on every page
- Display a line such as βPage 3 of 12β rather than a number alone
- Identify a draft, confidential copy or dated version
- Use Add Page Numbers when a plain number in a corner is enough
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between this and Add Page Numbers?
Add Page Numbers is designed for a single number in a standard position. This tool supports longer header or footer lines that can combine a title, notice, date, current page and total count.
What date format does {date} insert?
It inserts the current date as YYYY-MM-DD. This year-month-day format avoids the month-and-day ambiguity found in short numeric dates.
Can I use different fonts, colors, or bold text?
This version uses one default font in the size selected; it does not offer bold, multiple colors or logo placement. Use a suitable watermark or PDF editing workflow when richer styling is required.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. JavaScript adds the text and rebuilds the PDF locally in your browser.
