Two compression modes for different PDFs

It is the safer starting point for reports, contracts and forms because page text can remain searchable and selectable, although the amount saved may be small. Strong compression renders each page as a compressed image and rebuilds the PDF. That approach can help with scans or photo-heavy files, but searchable text, links, form fields, annotations and other interactive features may not survive.

Will I lose the ability to select text?
Strong compression rasterizes pages, so selectable or searchable text is generally lost unless OCR is applied afterward. Quick clean does not intentionally rasterize page content, but always inspect the output when searchability or accessibility is essential.
Which mode should I use for a text-heavy report or contract?
Start with Quick clean. It reorganizes the PDF rather than rendering each page as an image, which helps preserve searchable text and other page content. Review forms, links and digital signatures after any modification; signatures may become invalid when the file changes.
How much smaller will my file be?
