Choose exactly which areas to pixelate

Draw rectangular selections over faces, license plates or other details, then apply pixelation to those areas. This can reduce casual visibility, but pixelation should not be treated as secure redaction for highly sensitive information.

When pixelation is useful

  • Make a bystander less recognizable before posting a photo
  • Hide a license plate or address in a screenshot intended for casual sharing
  • Reduce identifying detail while keeping the rest of the photograph visible
  • Cover one selected detail without cropping the entire image

Frequently asked questions

Does this automatically detect faces?
No. You select each area manually, which also lets you cover objects such as license plates, addresses or document details.
Can I blur more than one area?
Yes. Draw as many selections as needed before choosing โ€œApply Blur & Download.โ€ Review the result before sharing it.
Does pixelation securely remove the original detail?
The exported image replaces the selected pixels, but weak pixelation can sometimes be inferred or reconstructed. Keep the original private and use purpose-built redaction for highly sensitive information.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. JavaScript processes the photograph locally in your browser, and the file remains on your device.
