Cropping changes the frame, not the subject
Cropping keeps one rectangular area and removes the pixels outside it. It can bring attention to a subject, cut away distracting edges or reframe a photograph for a required aspect ratio. A crop does not rotate a tilted image, but choosing a tighter frame can improve the composition.

Does cropping reduce image quality?
The crop itself removes outer pixels without resampling the area you keep. Exporting the result may still re-encode the image or remove metadata, depending on the source and output format. Keep the original if those details matter.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
