What is an AVIF file?

Why isn't my AVIF file converting?
The browser must be able to decode the specific AVIF file. If conversion fails, update the browser or try another current browser. A damaged file or an unsupported AVIF feature can also cause failure.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
Choose PNG when the AVIF contains transparency you need to preserve or when you prefer lossless output. JPG is often smaller for photographs and is widely accepted, but it does not support transparency.
