Interleave two page sequences
The tool alternates pages from File A and File B to create an A1, B1, A2, B2 sequence. A preview lists the planned order, and File B can be reversed when the backs were scanned from a flipped stack. Pages are copied without intentional rasterization, but rebuilding a PDF can affect forms, links, bookmarks, annotations or digital signatures.
A practical fix for separated duplex scans
- Recombine separate front-side and back-side scans
- Correct back pages captured in reverse stack order
- Alternate corresponding pages from two document versions
- Interleave two sequences instead of appending one after the other
Frequently asked questions
What happens if File A and File B have different page counts?
The pages alternate while both files have content. Once the shorter PDF ends, the remaining pages from the longer one are appended in their existing order. Nothing is duplicated to balance the files.
When should I use "Reverse File B's page order"?
Use it when turning over a stack caused the back-side scan to run from the last sheet toward the first. Check the order preview, because scanner feed direction and flipping method vary.
Will pages come out upside down?
The tool changes order, not orientation. If the back pages are upside down, rotate that PDF first and then verify the combined preview.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
